Defience Systems, Inc was born from the various experiences of its combat veterans and technical experts. The original visionary, Patrick Maloney set out to build a better combat vehicle following a near-death experience in combat in Iraq. Following his tour, he served as an acquisitions officer at the Tank and Automotive Research Development & Engineering Command (TARDEC), in Detroit, MI. He began development of a next-generation combat vehicle, but that vehicle was missing a critical component…a modular open power systems architecture.
